Andritzer Begegnungszentrum
Four international tournaments will be held in Austria, Croatia, Hungary, and Slovenia. The combined results from all four events will determine the overall winners of the Interreg Bowl, who will be awarded attractive and valuable prizes.
Each individual tournament will use a handicap system designed to ensure fair and engaging play for all participants. Less experienced players will receive a handicap ranging from 1% to 10%, based on their position in their national ranking list.
- The top 20% of players will not receive a handicap.
- The remaining players will be divided evenly into ten groups, with the lowest-ranked players receiving a 10% handicap and the highest-ranked receiving 1%.
This system gives all participants a fair chance to achieve excellent results—or even win one of the tournaments—and earn trophies and practical prizes.
The overall Interreg Bowl champion will be decided by the total number of Interreg points earned across all four tournaments (handicaps are not included in this total). The first-place players in each tournament will receive 30 Interreg points, second place 25 points, and then down to 15th place with 21, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 point. This scoring system ensures that even players who cannot attend all four tournaments still have a chance to compete for the overall title. A substantial prize fund is also planned for the winners.
The Interreg Bowl aims to strengthen cooperation among bridge players from four neighbouring countries, enhance playing skills and promote bridge as a mind sport to a wider audience. We warmly invite you to support our initiative and join us in these friendly international competitions celebrating both skill and camaraderie.
Participation: €30/Person, Juniors €15/Person.
